Eligibility
You must be of the age of majority in your province or territory of residence, and resident in a region where Brain Bounty is offered. One account per person.
Entry
One entry fee buys one attempt at one contest. Entry closes on Tuesday and Friday nights at 9:00 p.m. local time, and an exam that is still open when the contest closes is submitted as it stands.
During the exam
A correct answer scores on two things: how hard the question was, and how fast you answered it. Answer within one second for the full value, two seconds for half, three seconds for a quarter, and beyond that for a tenth.

A wrong answer costs you 20 points. A skipped question scores nothing — so skip rather than guess.
An exam where every question is skipped is disqualified and the entry is not refunded, so answer at least one.
Leaving an exam before it is finished
If you quit, or close the app, before completing all 20 questions, the exam is disqualified and the entry is not refunded.
Fair play
We monitor for automated play and for answer patterns that are not humanly possible. An account found cheating is disqualified from the contest. Entry fees are not refunded where an account is disqualified for cheating.
Determination of the winner
The highest score in the contest wins. Where two players tie on score, the faster total answering time wins.
Changes
We may change these rules. Contests already open at the time of a change continue under the rules in force when they opened.
